Terms of Service

These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of AskYourStay (“the Service”), operated by David Skillett (“we”, “us”, “our”), a sole trader registered in the United Kingdom. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

AskYourStay provides an AI-powered concierge platform for short-term rental hosts. Hosts upload property information, generate QR codes, and provide guests with access to an AI chat assistant that answers questions about the property.

2. Accounts

To use AskYourStay as a host, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when registering. You may not create accounts for others without their permission.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

  • AskYourStay offers a free 30-day trial on all plans.
  • After the trial, you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all property information, text, and other content you upload to AskYourStay (“Your Content”). By uploading content, you grant us a licence to use it solely for the purpose of providing the Service, including training the AI concierge to respond to guest questions about your property.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Your Content is accurate and up to date
  • You have the right to share the information you upload
  • Your Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
  • Your Content does not contain harmful, misleading, or illegal material

5. AI-Generated Responses

The AI concierge generates responses based on the property information you provide. While we strive for accuracy, AI responses may occasionally contain errors. You acknowledge that:

  • AI responses are generated automatically and not reviewed by a human
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the underlying property information
  • We are not liable for decisions made by guests based on AI responses
  • You should review your AI concierge's responses periodically to ensure accuracy

6. Guest Usage

Guests who interact with your AI concierge do not need to create an account. They access the chat via QR code or direct link. Guest chat data is stored for analytics purposes and is subject to our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Upload false, misleading, or harmful content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or compromise the Service
  • Use the Service to spam, harass, or deceive others
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our permission
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service

8. Availability and Support

We aim to keep the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We provide support via email at contact@askyourstay.com.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AskYourStay is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
